When David Benjamin began his career as a Social Worker back in 1991, he had no idea how that experience would ultimately shape his career. Acquiring the necessary skills to help people empower themselves has proven to be an invaluable asset throughout his career. David decided that Social Work was not his ideal fit and made a bold move transitioning out of Social Work and into a Wall Street-based Investment Firm as a financial advisor.
For almost a decade David helped clients develop sound financial plans that afforded them the ability to reach their goals. Having amassed a significant client base, he was quickly promoted to a managerial position where he was responsible for the training of new employees. David was also largely responsible for interviewing and hiring new candidates before mentoring them in the field.
In 2001, after the 9/11 attacks, Enron fiasco, and an overvalued stock market, David’s career path took another unexpected turn. This time he moved into the recruiting industry where he worked hard to help clients with their staffing and recruiting needs.
Over the course of the last few years we have seen a change in our workforce and economy. Ultimately, this change has fostered new opportunities borne out of necessity. Being adept at change, David quickly became an advocate for the various social networking technologies and studied how they could be implemented into business. Clients are now consistently referred to his growing Social Media Marketing practice where he assists them in becoming more involved and visible within their communities, resulting in increased revenue.
Most recently, David is excited to announce the launch of SalesBasix, a Sales and Marketing e-Learning company where he is one of the original owners and Social Media Director. The product is available online and is designed for students, sales professionals, business owners, associations, and other entities that desire content developed by top level industry professionals. The four disciplines of Sales, Marketing, PR, and Social Media are created by those in the trenches, consulting for clients, and producing extraordinary results.
